Saul Leiter

Saul Leiter is an American photographer and painter who became famous for his images of unusual compositions and odd angles. He got acquainted with the art of photography at the age of 12 when his mother gave him his first camera. Raised in a religious family at the age of 23 he left Pittsburgh for New York City. His parents were very unhappy and sad to find out that their son would like to become a photographer. In fact they wanted him to be a rabbi.

Odd News from Britain

  • The customers of the famous “Harrods” in London have obtained the unique opportunity to enjoy the unusual ice-cream with the traditional British flavors which may seem weird for a foreigner. The list of twenty flavors that are used in the ice-cream production was compiled according to the result of the online voting. The flavors are aimed to show the traditional food preferences of an average British citizen. In “Harrods” you may find the ice-cream with the most strange tastes, such as smoked fish, mashed potato with milk, fish and chips and eggs with bacon. The creator of the unusual ice-cream Gino Soldan shared his experience with public. He admitted that the process of making an ice-cream with a biscuit flavor was easier than making a fish-scented one.

Frank Dituri is a photographer who creates images full of mystery and ambiguity. He is captivated by the time issues. Taking pictures Dituri creates surreal world. The photographer himself opposes his own works to the works by Henri Cartier-Bresson. It happens mainly because his images are about time while Bresson was captivated by the decisive moments. Men and The Presents They Give

The men who give presents really exist. Another matter is the presents they give and what do they imply by giving them. The most extreme case is the man who gives you money as a present. Perhaps he is just bored to run through all the shops and malls to search for the finest silk scarf of the complicated shade of greyish blue which would match your eye color. E just puts the money in the envelope and gives it to you. The sum of this money also matters. An envelope with 10 USD inside given as a present can be considered to be a sheer mockery. Yes, it’s quite possible to mock a person out with the presents you give him or her. For example my friend used to sneer her mother-in-law by giving her finely decorated boxes with air fresheners or lipsticks of awful colors.

Fringe Dancing

It seems that something delirious is going on at the stage. One of the performers is whirling and jumping, another one is frozen in the non-natural pose, the third one is scratching his legs and making faces. The rules and the poses alternate. All that looks like madness. But several minutes pass and the elements of this mixture of motions and movements begin to remind you something familiar. That is the moment when you understand that it is more interesting than just well-organized and beautiful performance. There is the idea and the life energy in it.

You literally can’t live without french fries. And if you want it no one could prevent you from eating french fries late at night. Even though you keep a strict diet. It is not about your will. Mainly it is about your health. And why it happens? Your food cravings and preferences could tell a lot about your health. These cravings may serve as indicators of your state. You should pay attention to it.

As the rule people who are depressed, tired or disappointed crave for chocolate. Chocolate is associated with pleasure. So what? In fact chocolate contains the same chemicals (e.g. PEA) that secreted by our brain when we fall in love. That’s why many name chocolate as a “love drug”. So feeling disappointed or sluggish you want to eat another bar of chocolate. It is easy. If you keep a diet or want to keep fit then you can alternate chocolate with nuts. Or it would be much better simply to fall in love!
